Happy Birthday Dr. King

We have the great fortune of living in the home state of Martin Luther King Jr. My husband and I have chosen certain holidays to celebrate in order to bring more meaning into our lives. One of those is MLK day. We see him as a bodhisattva of sorts, a man who dedicated and eventually sacrificed his life in order to help relieve the suffering of others. So we have made a commitment to service of others on this day.

Here, we were at Ebenezer Church in Atlanta for the service at the MLK's church. Elijah got through it in his sling, as usual, and we enjoyed the celebration.
