The Zoo
I went to the zoo yesterday. It was such an interesting experience...I haven't been there since I was a child. I have a new perspective seeing all of the animals in captivity. It is an emotional experience, seeing animals that would normally explore a large domain being kept captive in such a small area. Are they happy? They could be, I just don't know.

What was most poignant was the mother primates with their young. They were so tender and loving. I felt an instant kinship to them. They were protecting their babies by keeping them close. They never once set their babies down. Their babies ate from the comfort of their mother's chest, interacted with the world from there and basically got everything they needed just clinging to mama.

No wonder we wear our babies.
