Early Babywearing: The Straight Facts

Who doesn't have a Baby Bjorn? It is the one thing that I HAD to have for my baby shower. I thought it was the neatest thing, to carry your baby on your body like that. On Pearl Street Mall (in Boulder, Co) on any given day daddies are walking up and down the street soothing their babies to sleep in the Bjorns. So, I thought for sure it was the way to go.
We later found out that it is better for a baby's legs to wrap around your body than straight down. Since then, we use a wrap or a mei tai for two shouldered carries. These are also much more comfortable in my opinion.

I mean, yeah, Elijah is sleeping peacefully here, but does he really look comfortable?
